ECCA’s Weekly Newsletter: October 1, 2023

Greetings Neighbor and Happy October!

ECCA’s Next Meeting: November 6, 2023 at 7pm, Beach Green Dunes Eats & Arts, 45-19 Rockaway Beach Blvd. Agenda will be sent out in a separate email. Please be sure to share and come with a neighbor.

As some of us are in the aftermath of all the rainfall last week, in addition to reporting your damages to either you flood insurance or homeowners insurance, you can also report your damage here. In order for the Peninsula to receive proper funding when it comes to flooding and infrastructure, local agencies need to know the data.

Governor Hochul is giving $20M toward clean energy and sustainable infrastructure by 2050 toward disadvantaged communities but some local politicians dropped the ball as many neighborhoods in Southeast Queens were left out of the equation. See if your community made the cut.
