EDGEMERE COMMUNITY CIVIC ASSOCIATION'S WEEKLY NEWSLETTER
January 20, 2024
Greetings Neighbor!
I hope this newsletter finds you and your family well after we’ve endured flooding, snow and ice. Over the past few days we’ve had interruptions not only in our daily lives but in all things that surround us. We get caught up in our own personal endeavors without actually thinking of others. Being a good neighbor is considering others around you. When it comes to flooding, especially in a flood zone, one of the many reasons of flooding is not only due to unkempt catch basin or not enough sump pumps on your property, but it’s actually not having enough greenery in your back and/or front yard. Living in a flood zone it’s imperative to have enough greenery on your property so that it’ll absorb most of the water and not run off onto your neighbors property causing unforeseen and preventable damage.
Snow Removal Inquiry: if you or anyone you know who would be willing to remove snow from homes and vehicles for a small fee, please have them reach out to us. We have many elders and disabled residents who would benefit greatly from this service.
